Band Assisted Pull-Up - Exercise Guide

Step 1

Select an appropriate band with the right amount of resistance. Tie the band at the middle of the pullup bar.

Step 2

Stand under the bar. Place one bent knee into the loop and make sure it won’t slip out. Take a medium to wide grip on the bar. This is your starting position.

Step 3

Pull yourself upward by contracting your lats by flexing your elbow. Your elbow should be driven to your side.

Step 4

Continue to pull yourself up until your chin is above the bar. This must be done smoothly and carefully.

Step 5

Hold your position for a second then, slowly lower yourself.
