Step 1
Place a box or sturdy bench on the floor.
Step 2
Stand up straight with your feet shoulder width away from each other and the box 1-2 feet away from you. This is your starting position.
Step 3
Swing your arms behind you as move on to a squatting position.
Step 4
Perform a short squat in preparation for the jump. Swing your arms behind you.
Step 5
Rebound out of this position by extending your hips, knees and ankles to jump as high as you can. Swing your arms forward and up.
Step 6
Jump over the bench. Once your feet have landed, slightly bend your knees to absorb the impact of the landing.
Step 7
Turn around and repeat the steps to jump back over the bench.
