Cable Hip Adduction - Exercise Guide

Step 1

Adjust a cable pulley machine to the lowest level. Change the handle to a cuff attachment.

Step 2

Stand up straight and sideways in front of the machine. The nearer leg must be cuffed and the other firmly planted on the floor.

Step 3

Step away from the machine until there’s tension on the cable.

Step 4

Allow your cuffed leg to be pulled towards the pulley and stand with your uncuffed leg. Keep your back and legs straight. This is your starting position

Step 5

Pull the cable towards you by moving your cuffed leg towards your standing leg. Pull the cable using your inner thighs. Exhale as you do this. Continue until your legs touch each other.

Step 6

After that, pause for a moment then slowly let your cuffed leg be pulled towards the machine as you inhale. Continue until you’re back to your starting position.

Step 7

Complete your repetitions then switch legs and repeat.
