Cable Preacher Curl - Exercise Guide

Step 1

Setup a preacher bench 2 feet in front of a pulley machine.

Step 2

Attach a straight bar handle to the low pulley machine.

Step 3

Sit on the preacher bench. Your elbow and upper arms should be firmly placed on top of the bench pad. Instruct your partner to hand you the bar from the low pulley.

Step 4

Fully extend your arms downward on the preacher bench. Your palms should be facing up. This is your starting position.

Step 5

Pull the handle all the way up until it almost touches your shoulders while keeping your upper arms steady and pressed against the bench pad. Your forearm should be the only one to move. Squeeze your biceps once the handle is at the top. Exhale as you do this movement.

Step 6

Pause for a moment and slowly lower the handle until you’re back to your starting position

Step 7

Repeat until recommend amount of repetitions is reached.
