Circus Bell - Exercise Guide

Step 1

A circus bell is an oversized dumbbell, usually with heavy balls on each end instead of plates, with a very thick handle. It’s recommended that you do this on a rubber mat to prevent any damage to the floor.
Place the circus bell between your feet.

Step 2

Bend down and take hold of the handle with both hands.

Step 3

Clean it up towards your desired shoulder. Make sure to let go of the other hand as you do this and that one of the dumbbell heads is behind your shoulder so you won’t get out of balance.

Step 4

Raise it overhead with one arm. To do this, slightly bend your knees and then make a jumping motion as you raise the dumbbell overhead. Lean away your body slightly while you do this.

Step 5

Bring the bell back to the floor. Make sure to keep it under control as you lower it down.

Step 6

Do the same movements on your other arm.
