Dumbbell Step Ups - Exercise Guide

Step 1

Stand up straight while holding a dumbbell on each hand. Your palms must be facing your legs, feet shoulder width away from each other, and toes pointing out. This is your starting position.

Step 2

Elevate your body by placing your right foot on the platform then extending your right leg. Let your body elevate and follow the movement of the right leg as you do this. Exhale as you ascend.

Step 3

Once your right leg is fully extended, place your left foot on the platform to proceed to a standing position.

Step 4

Pause for a moment then step down by reversing your movements. Continue until you’re back to your starting position. Inhale as you descend.

Step 5.

Complete your repetitions in one leg then switch legs and repeat.
