Main Muscle Worked: Quadriceps
Adjust the weight of the leg extension machine according to your preference.
Adjust the seat and the pad so that once you sit on the machine, the pads is just above your feet.
Sit on the machine with your legs under the pads and hand holding firmly on the handles. Your knees must be bent at 90 degrees. If in case the machine doesn’t let you bend your knee at 90 degrees, you can look for a different one or just make sure that you stop going down once you hit the 90-degree angle. This is your starting position.
Extend your legs as you exhale. Use your quadriceps to execute the movement. Keep your body steady as you do this.
Pause for a moment then slowly lower your legs until you’re back to your starting position. Ensure that your knees are bent at 90 degrees. Inhale as you do this.
Repeat until the recommended amount of repetitions is achieved.
