Sit upright on the floor with your legs spread forward.
Take hold of a rolling pin or muscle roller and place it behind your head and against your neck. Ensure that the roller is not directly against your spine but pressed against your neck muscles. This is your starting position.
Slowly roll down the roller down the muscles of your neck. Pause at points of tension for 10-30 seconds.
