Side Laterals to Front Raise - Exercise Guide

Step 1

Hold a dumbbell in each hand.

Step 2

Stand up straight with your arms extended to your sides. Keep your back straight and your elbows slightly bent. This is your starting position.

Step 3

Raise your arms to your front in an arc motion. Continue until they’re parallel to the floor. Try not to swing your arms or cheat.

Step 4

Once your arms are at the top, pause for a moment then slowly lower your arms until you’re back to your starting position.

Step 5

This time, raise your arms to your sides in an arc motion. Continue until they’re parallel to the floor. Still, try not to swing or cheat as you do this.

Step 6

Once your arms are at the top, pause for a moment then slowly lower your arms until you’re back to your starting position.
