Standing Cable Crossovers - Exercise Guide

Step 1

From a standing position, grab the handles attached by cables to overhead pulleys.

Step 2

Move slightly forward from the line between the pulleys.

Step 3

Extend your arms out on both sides. Keep them as straight as possible.

Step 4

Slightly bend forward from your waist.

Step 5

With elbows slightly bent, pull the cables forward like you’re doing a big hugging motion. You’ll feel your pectoral muscles contracting while doing this.

Step 6

Once your hands are almost at the center, continue and let one hand cross over the other. This time, contract your chest muscles as much as you can. Hold this position for a moment.

Step 7

Release the position until you’re back to your starting position. Do the same movements but this time, alternate which hand crosses the other.
