V-Bar Pullup - Exercise Guide

Step 1

Place the middle of the V-bar in the middle of the pull-up bar. Adjust the handles of the V-bar to a facedown position.

Step 2

Grab the bar from each side and hang from it. Lean back and stick your chest out to engage your lats. This is your starting position.

Step 3

Pull your torso up using your lats and lean your head back to avoid hitting the bar.

Step 4

Continue until your chest is in contract with the V-bar. Breathe out as you do this.

Step 5

After a second hold on the contracted position, return to your starting position in a slow and controlled manner. Inhale as you do this.

Step 6

Repeat until the recommended amount of repetitions is achieved.
